Website Terms of Use.

The terms that govern your access to and use of The Paranormal Festival website and online services.

Last updated: 17 September 2026

01

About These Terms

These Website Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and online pages operated in connection with The Paranormal Festival.

The Paranormal Festival is an events brand operated by Gatherstone Ltd.

These Terms are intentionally written to apply across The Paranormal Festival as a wider events brand, rather than to one particular event, date, venue or format.

The Paranormal Festival may organise, promote or support a range of events and experiences over time, including festivals, conventions, exhibitions, talks, panels, screenings, workshops, demonstrations, entertainment, social events, networking events, paranormal-themed experiences, online or hybrid events and other related activities.

By using our website, you agree to these Terms.

If you purchase a ticket, apply for a vendor space or otherwise enter into a separate arrangement with us, additional terms may also apply.

02

Who We Are

The Paranormal Festival is operated by Gatherstone Ltd.

Gatherstone Ltd
Company Number: 17465110
Registered in England and Wales
Registered Office: 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom

References in these Terms to "The Paranormal Festival", "we", "us" or "our" mean Gatherstone Ltd when operating The Paranormal Festival.

03

Other Terms That May Apply

Depending on how you interact with us, the following may also apply:

These Website Terms primarily govern use of the website itself.

Purchasing a ticket will additionally be governed by the applicable Ticket & Event Terms.

Applying for or booking a vendor, exhibitor or trader space will additionally be governed by the applicable Vendor Terms.

Important contractual terms should be made available before a consumer becomes bound by them. UK consumer-law guidance also requires consumer terms and notices to be fair and transparent.

04

Using Our Website

You may use our website for lawful personal or business purposes connected with The Paranormal Festival, including:

  • learning about our events;
  • registering for Early Bird access;
  • accessing ticket information;
  • purchasing or following links to purchase tickets;
  • applying to become a vendor or exhibitor;
  • making enquiries;
  • learning about speakers, performers, guests or activities;
  • entering competitions where available;
  • accessing event information; and
  • contacting us.

You must use the website responsibly and lawfully.

05

Availability of the Website

We aim to keep our website available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • maintenance;
  • updates;
  • technical problems;
  • hosting issues;
  • security measures;
  • third-party service interruptions; or
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may temporarily suspend, restrict or modify parts of the website where reasonably necessary.

06

Changes to the Website

The Paranormal Festival is intended to develop over time.

We may change, add, remove or update website content, features and functionality.

This may include information relating to:

  • future events;
  • venues;
  • schedules;
  • speakers;
  • performers;
  • vendors;
  • activities;
  • ticketing;
  • event formats; and
  • other Festival services.

Changes to website content do not automatically change an existing contractual commitment we have already made to you.

Where a material change affects an existing ticket purchase or another contract, the applicable contractual terms and your legal rights will apply.

07

Event Information

We aim to make event information clear and accurate.

However, events may be planned a significant period in advance and arrangements can sometimes change.

Information about an upcoming event may therefore be updated as planning progresses.

This can include reasonable changes to:

  • schedules;
  • running orders;
  • speakers;
  • performers;
  • vendors;
  • activities;
  • room allocations;
  • event layouts;
  • opening times; or
  • other operational details.

Any rights you may have in relation to a significant change to an event are governed by the applicable Ticket & Event Terms and Conditions and applicable law.

Nothing in these Website Terms gives us an unrestricted right to materially change something you have already purchased without regard to your legal rights.

UK consumer guidance warns against terms giving businesses excessively broad rights to alter an agreed contract after it has been entered into.

08

Future Events

Information about potential or future events may be published before every detail has been finalised.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, announcements concerning future concepts, proposed activities, prospective guests or developing plans should not be interpreted as a contractual commitment that a particular feature will definitely form part of a future event.

Once tickets are offered for sale, the information provided as part of that offer and the applicable Ticket & Event Terms should be considered when determining what has been contractually agreed.

09

Tickets

Ticket purchases are subject to separate Ticket & Event Terms and Conditions.

Before purchasing a ticket, you should review:

  • the event;
  • date;
  • location;
  • ticket type;
  • price;
  • any applicable age restrictions;
  • what the ticket includes; and
  • the Ticket & Event Terms made available during the purchasing process.

These Website Terms should not be treated as a substitute for the Ticket & Event Terms.

10

Third-Party Ticketing Services

We may use third-party ticketing or booking platforms.

Where you are redirected to another organisation's website to complete a transaction, that provider may have its own terms and privacy information.

The identity and role of the relevant ticketing provider should be made clear where appropriate.

Use of a third-party platform does not remove any rights you have against Gatherstone Ltd where Gatherstone Ltd is legally responsible for the underlying event or transaction.

11

Prices

Where prices are displayed on our website, we aim to display them clearly.

Prices may differ between:

  • events;
  • ticket categories;
  • Early Bird releases;
  • standard releases;
  • special packages;
  • vendor opportunities; and
  • other products or services.

The price applicable to a transaction will be the price presented as part of that transaction, subject to correction of genuine errors where legally permitted.

Any mandatory charges that must be included or disclosed to consumers will be presented in accordance with applicable law.

12

Early Bird Access

We may allow people to register for Early Bird access to future events.

Early Bird registration may provide benefits described at the time of registration, which could include:

  • advance information;
  • advance ticket access;
  • promotional codes;
  • access to a particular ticket release; or
  • other stated benefits.

Registering for Early Bird access does not itself guarantee that you will successfully obtain a ticket.

Tickets may be subject to:

  • availability;
  • capacity;
  • ticket limits;
  • specified sales windows; or
  • other conditions clearly communicated when the relevant ticket release takes place.
13

Mailing Lists and Communications

You may have the option to register for Festival updates or other communications.

Marketing preferences are handled separately from your agreement to these Website Terms.

Agreeing to these Website Terms does not itself constitute consent to receive optional electronic marketing.

You can find further information in our Privacy Policy.

14

Vendor and Exhibitor Applications

Our website may allow businesses or individuals to apply to become:

  • vendors;
  • traders;
  • exhibitors;
  • activity providers;
  • readers;
  • practitioners;
  • sponsors; or
  • other commercial participants.

Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee a place at an event.

Applications may be reviewed according to factors relevant to the particular event, including available space, suitability, duplication, safety, event balance and operational requirements.

Successful applicants may be required to enter into separate Vendor Terms and Conditions.

15

Speakers, Performers and Guests

We may publish information about speakers, performers, presenters, investigators, creators, guests or other contributors.

Appearances may sometimes be subject to professional commitments, illness, travel disruption or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Any contractual rights arising from a change to an advertised event will be determined according to:

  • the significance of the change;
  • what was represented when the ticket was purchased;
  • the applicable Ticket & Event Terms; and
  • applicable consumer law.

We do not use these Website Terms to remove rights that a consumer would otherwise have where a material part of a purchased event changes.

16

Competitions and Promotions

We may run competitions, giveaways, promotions or special offers.

Additional terms may apply to individual promotions.

Where they do, those terms should be made available to entrants.

Unless otherwise stated, participating in a competition does not guarantee:

  • a prize;
  • a ticket;
  • entry to an event;
  • a vendor space; or
  • any other benefit.
17

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, intellectual-property rights in the website and original material produced for The Paranormal Festival are owned by, licensed to, or lawfully used by Gatherstone Ltd.

This may include rights in:

  • The Paranormal Festival name;
  • logos;
  • branding;
  • graphic design;
  • website design;
  • text and written content;
  • original photography;
  • original video;
  • promotional artwork;
  • event concepts and original creative materials to the extent protected by law; and
  • other original content.

Third-party names, logos, photographs and materials remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.

18

Permitted Use of Website Content

You may view and use our website for ordinary personal or legitimate business purposes.

You may share links to publicly accessible pages.

You may also share our publicly released promotional material in the ordinary way for purposes such as promoting an event, provided that you:

  • do not materially alter it in a misleading way;
  • do not remove ownership or attribution information where relevant;
  • do not falsely imply an endorsement or partnership;
  • do not use it unlawfully.

Unless we give permission or the law otherwise allows it, you must not commercially reproduce, distribute or exploit substantial parts of our original website content.

19

The Paranormal Festival Brand

You must not use The Paranormal Festival name, logo or branding in a way that falsely suggests:

  • that you operate The Paranormal Festival;
  • that your event is an official Paranormal Festival event;
  • that you are an authorised partner;
  • that Gatherstone Ltd endorses you; or
  • that a commercial relationship exists where it does not.

Authorised vendors, sponsors, speakers and partners may be provided with specific branding or promotional permissions.

Those permissions remain subject to the applicable agreement.

20

Third-Party Intellectual Property

Our website may feature material relating to:

  • speakers;
  • performers;
  • vendors;
  • partners;
  • venues;
  • sponsors;
  • photographers;
  • creators; or
  • other third parties.

Their trademarks, photographs, logos and other intellectual property remain subject to their respective rights.

Their appearance on our website does not transfer ownership of those rights to Gatherstone Ltd or website visitors.

21

User-Submitted Material

Where our website allows you to submit material, such as:

  • application information;
  • photographs;
  • logos;
  • biographies;
  • competition entries;
  • testimonials;
  • feedback; or
  • promotional materials,

you must have the necessary rights and permissions to provide that material to us.

You must not knowingly submit material that:

  • infringes another person's intellectual-property rights;
  • breaches confidentiality;
  • unlawfully infringes privacy;
  • is fraudulent or deceptive;
  • contains unlawful material; or
  • you have no right to provide.
22

Permission to Use Submitted Promotional Material

Where you provide material specifically for us to publicise your confirmed participation in an event — for example, a vendor logo, speaker photograph or biography — you give Gatherstone Ltd permission to use that material as reasonably necessary to promote and administer the relevant event and The Paranormal Festival.

This permission is non-exclusive.

You retain ownership of your material unless separately agreed otherwise.

Any materially broader commercial use will be governed by the applicable agreement or another appropriate legal basis.

23

Unsolicited Ideas and Proposals

We welcome appropriate enquiries and feedback.

However, please do not submit confidential business ideas, concepts or creative proposals unless we have agreed to receive them on a confidential basis.

Sending an unsolicited idea does not automatically:

  • create a confidential relationship;
  • create a partnership;
  • transfer ownership to us; or
  • require us to pay for or use the idea.

This does not affect any intellectual-property rights you otherwise have under law.

24

Acceptable Use

You must not misuse our website.

You must not knowingly:

  • use it for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
  • interfere with website security;
  • introduce malicious code;
  • knowingly transmit viruses or harmful software;
  • attempt to disrupt the website;
  • impersonate another person or organisation;
  • submit deliberately false or fraudulent information;
  • abuse forms or application systems;
  • harass our team through website functionality;
  • use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable burden on our infrastructure; or
  • use the website to infringe another person's rights.
25

Automated Access and Scraping

You must not use automated systems to access, extract or reproduce substantial amounts of content from our website in a manner that:

  • interferes with operation of the website;
  • circumvents technical restrictions;
  • infringes our intellectual-property rights;
  • violates applicable law; or
  • places an unreasonable load on our systems.

Ordinary indexing by legitimate search engines is permitted unless we indicate otherwise through appropriate technical controls.

Nothing in this section restricts activities that cannot lawfully be restricted.

26

Website Security

You must not attempt to:

  • circumvent security controls;
  • probe the website for vulnerabilities without permission;
  • access non-public systems or information;
  • obtain another person's information without authority;
  • interfere with hosting or infrastructure; or
  • exploit vulnerabilities.

Where we reasonably identify malicious or abusive activity, we may restrict access and take appropriate protective action.

Serious suspected unlawful activity may be reported to relevant authorities where appropriate.

27

External Links

Our website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.

These may include:

  • venues;
  • accommodation providers;
  • transport services;
  • ticketing providers;
  • vendors;
  • speakers;
  • sponsors;
  • social media services; or
  • other external resources.

A link does not necessarily mean that we endorse everything available through that third-party website.

Unless otherwise stated, we do not control independent third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or separate terms.

28

Third-Party Recommendations

We may occasionally provide information about accommodation, transport, restaurants, local attractions or other services that may be useful to attendees.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, this information is provided for convenience.

You should make your own assessment before purchasing from or relying on an independent third party.

Where we have a commercial relationship, sponsorship arrangement or other relationship that legally requires disclosure, we will disclose it as appropriate.

29

Paranormal and Entertainment Content

The Paranormal Festival may feature content relating to subjects such as:

  • paranormal investigation;
  • unexplained experiences;
  • folklore;
  • spirituality;
  • psychic or mediumship-related entertainment;
  • historical stories;
  • unusual phenomena;
  • beliefs and personal experiences.

The presentation of a claim, belief, experience, demonstration or opinion through our website or an event does not necessarily mean that Gatherstone Ltd independently verifies or endorses it as scientifically established fact.

Different speakers, performers, vendors and attendees may hold different beliefs and viewpoints.

Where appropriate, specific activities may be accompanied by additional information or event-specific terms.

30

Information Is Not Professional Advice

General content on our website is provided for event, informational and entertainment purposes.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is not intended to replace personalised:

  • medical advice;
  • mental-health advice;
  • legal advice;
  • financial advice;
  • emergency advice; or
  • other regulated professional advice.

You should obtain appropriately qualified assistance where required.

31

Website Information and Accuracy

We take reasonable care when preparing website information.

However, some information may:

  • change;
  • become outdated;
  • contain an inadvertent error;
  • depend on information supplied by a third party.

Where we become aware of a material error, we may correct it.

Nothing in these Terms permits us to provide misleading information or avoid responsibility where the law makes us responsible.

32

Reliance on Event Information

You should check the relevant event page and communications before travelling to an event, particularly for information such as:

  • venue;
  • date;
  • opening time;
  • admission arrangements;
  • age restrictions;
  • accessibility information;
  • prohibited items; and
  • significant schedule updates.

Where we become aware of a material event change, we will take reasonable steps to communicate it to affected customers where appropriate.

33

Accessibility of the Website

We aim to make our website reasonably accessible and usable.

If you experience difficulty accessing important information or using a website feature, please contact us so that we can consider an appropriate alternative or adjustment where reasonably possible.

Accessibility arrangements for physical events may vary by venue and event and will be communicated separately. See our Accessibility Statement.

34

Privacy

Personal information collected through our website is handled in accordance with The Paranormal Festival Privacy Policy.

This includes information submitted through:

  • Early Bird registrations;
  • mailing lists;
  • ticketing interactions;
  • vendor applications;
  • enquiries;
  • competitions; and
  • other website forms.
35

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies.

Further information about their purposes, when consent may be required, applicable exceptions and how preferences can be managed is available in our Cookies & Similar Technologies Policy.

36

Our Responsibility to Consumers

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Where you are acting as a consumer, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

UK consumer law requires consumer contract terms and notices to be fair and transparent. Terms attempting to remove statutory rights or improperly exclude responsibility may be unenforceable.

37

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot lawfully be excluded;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused solely by circumstances for which we are not legally responsible.

For website use, we are not responsible for losses arising solely from independent third-party websites or services that we do not operate or control, except where the law provides otherwise.

These Terms do not remove remedies you may have where Gatherstone Ltd fails to perform an obligation owed to you.

The CMA specifically warns businesses against overly broad exclusions of liability and against wording that removes consumers' statutory remedies.

38

Business Users

If you use our website wholly or mainly for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession, you are a business user for the purposes of this section.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Gatherstone Ltd will not be liable to a business user for:

  • loss of profits;
  • loss of sales or revenue;
  • loss of business;
  • loss of anticipated savings;
  • loss of business opportunity;
  • loss of goodwill; or
  • indirect or consequential loss,

arising solely from use of, or inability to use, the website.

This section does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted and does not override separate contractual terms agreed with vendors, sponsors, contractors, speakers or other business participants.

39

Events Are Governed Separately

These Website Terms do not attempt to govern every risk associated with attending a physical event.

Matters relating to:

  • admission;
  • behaviour;
  • event safety;
  • restricted areas;
  • prohibited items;
  • interactive activities;
  • ticket transfers;
  • cancellation;
  • postponement;
  • refunds;
  • venue requirements;
  • photography and filming at events; and
  • other attendance conditions

will be dealt with in the applicable Ticket & Event Terms and Conditions.

This distinction is intentional.

40

Suspending Website Access

We may restrict or suspend access to parts of the website where reasonably necessary because of:

  • security threats;
  • unlawful activity;
  • serious misuse;
  • attempts to interfere with our systems; or
  • another legitimate operational reason.

Where access relates to a purchased service, any contractual rights you have in relation to that service remain subject to the applicable agreement and law.

41

No Partnership Created

Using our website, subscribing to updates, applying to participate in an event or communicating with us does not by itself create:

  • a partnership;
  • joint venture;
  • employment relationship;
  • agency relationship; or
  • franchise relationship.

Any formal commercial relationship must be separately agreed.

42

Transfer of Our Rights and Obligations

Gatherstone Ltd may transfer relevant rights or obligations where reasonably necessary as part of:

  • a business restructuring;
  • sale;
  • merger;
  • acquisition;
  • transfer of The Paranormal Festival business or relevant assets; or
  • another legitimate corporate transaction.

Where a transfer affects an existing consumer contract, it will not be used to reduce your rights unfairly.

43

If Part of These Terms Is Invalid

If a court or other competent authority finds part of these Terms unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply so far as legally possible.

Any affected provision will apply only to the extent that it can lawfully do so.

44

No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not necessarily mean that we have permanently waived our right to enforce it later.

Similarly, exercising one right does not necessarily prevent us from exercising another right available to us.

45

Third-Party Rights

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these Website Terms are between you and Gatherstone Ltd.

A person who is not a party to these Terms does not have a right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

46

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Website Terms from time to time to reflect:

  • changes to our website;
  • new website functionality;
  • new types of events or services;
  • changes to our business;
  • security requirements;
  • changes in law or regulatory guidance; or
  • other legitimate operational reasons.

The latest version will be published on our website with its revision date.

Changes to these Website Terms will not retrospectively remove contractual rights already acquired in relation to a completed transaction.

Where separate contractual terms governing an existing booking are changed, the rules applicable to that contract and consumer-law requirements will apply.

47

Governing Law

These Terms and use of our website are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights available to you under the laws applicable where you live.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory protections available to you under applicable law.

48

Courts and Disputes

We encourage you to contact us first if you have a concern so that we have an opportunity to resolve it.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising rights to bring proceedings in a court available to them under applicable law.

We will not require consumers to use a dispute-resolution process that they are not legally required to use.

Current CMA guidance specifically warns against contract terms that unfairly restrict consumers' ability to challenge terms, seek redress or use courts available to them.
